Police Chief Billy L. Hutchinson has worked for Brea for 27 years. He began his law enforcement career with the Brea Police Department in 1981 when he was hired as a patrol officer. Chief Hutchinson was appointed Chief of Police in June 2008.

The Orange County VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) System is a service through which victims of crime can use the telephone or internet to search for information regarding their offender’s custody status and register to receive telephone and email notification when their offender’s custody status changes.
